On May 3, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage announced on its website that the State Council approved and announced the seventh batch of national key cultural relic protection units, among which 15 new "national protection" units were added in Changsha, and 26 national key cultural relic protection units were added in the whole city, including the "ancient city wall of Tianxin Pavilion" in Tianxin Pavilion, which is an ancient architecture.

The ancient city wall of Tianxin Pavilion is located in the northwest of the intersection of Chengnan Road and Tianxin Road in Changsha. It was built by Wu Rui, King of Changsha in 202 BC in the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty. It has a history of more than 2,200 years. In the fifth year of Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty (1372 AD), the commanding officer of Changsha ordered Qiu Guang to change the earth and build the city wall into a brick building, which made Changsha an "impregnable iron city".In 1917, in order to build a road around the city, the Kuomintang government kept only the 251-metre-long section of the city wall to this day, which is an important witness of the historical development of Changsha. In 1983, it was announced as the key cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province. It is an ancient city structure with a relatively complete preservation and a certain scale in our province, integrating city wall, moon city and attic, which has reference value for the study of ancient city defense fortifications in China.
