The "secret" of the film is the ancient city wall of Tianxin Pavilion, located in the southeast corner of the ancient city of Changsha.It is the only ancient building with complete functions, relatively complete preservation and large scale in Hunan Province, which integrates city wall, moon city and fort. It was built in 202 BC in the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty and was originally made of earth ramming.At present, it is a green brick wall restored from the original earth city in 1372, the fifth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty.

As early as before the Ming Dynasty, Changsha was contested by the Wu and Shu states in the early Three Kingdoms Period, Changsha was fought by the "Two Xiao" in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the city was destroyed and destroyed by the Jin soldiers in the fourth year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1130), and the city was attacked by the Yuan troops in the first year of Deyou in the Southern Song Dynasty (1275).In modern times, when Taiping troops attacked Changsha from here, King Xiao Chaogui of the West was killed by gunfire on the wall of the ancient city.

When young Mao Zedong was studying in Hunan First Normal University, he came here many times to discuss world affairs with fellow students such as Cai Hesen.After the "Changsha Fire" in 1938, Zhou Enlai, Chiang Kai-shek and Chen Cheng all boarded the ancient city wall to inspect the damage.Anti-Japanese "Changsha Battle", the ancient city wall became one of the main battlefields to eliminate the Japanese aggressors.After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhu De, He Long, Xi Zhongxun, Song Ping, Li Tieying and other party and state leaders inspected the ancient city wall.The ancient city wall of Tianxin Pavilion has experienced the vicissitudes of changsha city, so it is the best witness of the history of changsha.

 

The existing ancient city wall of Tianxi Ge is 251 meters long, 13.4 meters high and 6.1 meters wide at the top, which is equivalent to one thirty-fifth of the total length of the ancient city wall of Changsha in the Ming Dynasty.After 1914, Changsha began to tear down the city walls one after another. By 1924, all the walls in other parts of the city had been dismantled, leaving the section under Tianxin Pavilion which was more difficult to dismantle.At that time, a group of cultural figures led by Cao Dianqiu, the premier of the Municipal Government, proposed to preserve this section of the city wall as a cultural relic for future generations to pay tribute to, and vowed to "live and die together with the city wall".Finally, with the support and efforts of many sides, we are now fortunate to stand on this section of the city wall and look back at history.Video link
